I- Uses:
  • When we have premeditated intention
Ex: - I am going to spend my holidays in the USA
      - They are going to get married

  • Predictions
Ex: - The sun is shining, I think it is going to be a pleasant afternoon.
      - I need the ladder because I am going to paint city scraper .


II- The different between will and Be going to:

Be going to  è We us itwhen we have a plan \ arrange before.  ( Immediate futur ) 
Ex: - She avoids smoking because she is going to have a baby.


Will             è We use it in the time of speaking. ( Remote futur)
Ex: - I'm look tired. Sit down and I will make you a cup of tea.

III- Rule:
It is impossible to use in the following cases.
  • With verbs of mental activity ( know, understand, mean )
Ex: - It's difficult for him, he won't understand .
  • In the mean clause with "if" and "when" in the subordinate clause.
Ex: - I will lend ( lend ) you my car when you need it.
  • With the verbs to go and to come it is too heavy and should be avoided.
Ex: - Is coming ( come ) tonight.
      - Is going ( go ) to the cinema tomorrow.
